We're Hiring: Insurance Coverage Attorney | Woodland Hills, CA (On-Site)
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join a well-established boutique litigation defense firm in Woodland Hills, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated insurance coverage matters while collaborating with a highly experienced litigation team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and interpret commercial and personal lines insurance policies.
• Prepare coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, denial letters, and other coverage position letters.
• Research complex insurance coverage issues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Represent insurers in insurance coverage litigation through pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediation, trial, and appeal.
• Handle coverage disputes involving construction defect, product liability, employment, landlord-tenant, intellectual property, entertainment, and other complex civil litigation matters.
• Build strong client relationships and provide strategic legal guidance.
Qualifications:
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited or California-accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Experience with insurance coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and drafting coverage opinions.
• Background in insurance coverage litigation or related civil litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment while meeting annual billable requirements.
Preferred Experience:
• First-party and third-party insurance coverage matters.
• Insurance bad faith or extra-contractual liability.
• Trial experience.
• Admission to one or more U.S. District Courts or additional state jurisdictions.
• Professional liability insurance experience.
• Portable book of business is preferred but not required.
