Position Summary:
The Director of Engineering provides strategic leadership for civil site and transportation engineering practices, driving business growth, operational excellence, technical quality, and financial performance. This role leads multidisciplinary teams, develops client relationships, expands market presence, and ensures successful delivery of high-quality engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
- Partner with executive leadership to support strategic growth initiatives and organizational goals. Provide technical oversight for civil and transportation projects, ensuring quality, compliance, budget, and schedule performance.
- Manage practice performance, including revenue, profitability, utilization, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while promoting safety, quality, and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through trusted advisory support and exceptional service.
- Lead business development efforts, including proposals, client meetings, project pursuits, and industry networking.
