Insurance Defense Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will represent our clients in legal proceedings, providing expert advice and representation in insurance defense litigation. The position aims to protect our clients' interests while ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, medical malpractice, general liability and products liability
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Manage all aspects of litigation from inception to trial
- Negotiate settlements and provide strategic advice to clients
- Attend depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and other attorneys to build strong defense cases
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active state bar license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, preferably in insurance defense
- Strong understanding of legal principles and court procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
- Experience in medical malpractice and trial is a plus
- Familiarity with deposition procedures and practices is preferred
