Commercial Electrical Estimator
Location: Pittsburgh, PA | Full-Time, In Person
Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator with strong commercial electrical construction knowledge and hands-on experience with Trimble Accubid and LiveCount.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates for commercial electrical projects.
- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
- Perform electronic material and labor takeoffs using LiveCount.
- Develop estimates using Trimble Accubid / Accubid Anywhere.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor/subcontractor pricing.
- Apply labor units, material costs, equipment, and overhead.
- Identify scope, exclusions, clarifications, and project risks.
- Prepare bid summaries and proposals.
- Assist with change-order pricing and project turnover.
- Manage multiple bids and deadlines.
Requirements
- Commercial electrical construction estimating experience.
- Hands-on Trimble Accubid experience.
- Hands-on LiveCount takeoff experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and construction costs.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Preferred
Experience with public/municipal projects, schools, commercial construction, site electrical, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, or low-voltage systems.
