About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal to support estate planning and probate matters for a boutique law firm in Lake Oswego. The role involves drafting complex estate planning documents, managing probate cases, coordinating with clients and attorneys, and contributing to sophisticated planning projects. The ideal candidate will have strong estate planning knowledge, probate experience, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and an interest in taking on increasing responsibility within a collaborative team.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of estate planning and Oregon estate-related tax concepts.
- Experience drafting estate planning documents.
- Experience with sophisticated estate planning, including federally taxable estates, is preferred.
- Probate experience, including case coordination and drafting pleadings.
- Ability to manage key aspects of the probate process.
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.
- Sound professional judgment and ability to build positive relationships.
- Ability to collaborate with attorneys and team members on complex matters.
- Familiarity with Interactive Legal or similar estate planning document systems is helpful.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as an Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal.
- Demonstrated experience handling estate planning and probate matters.
- Strong document drafting and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with an experienced legal team.
