What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Maintenance Technician - $34.64/hr position at Commercial Employees?
- Direct hire: you are hired by the company from day one

- Troubleshoot and diagnose plant equipment problems
- Make electrical repairs and installs
- Read and revise electrical and mechanical prints
- Do basic fabrication projects
- Follow Lock Out/Tag Out and keep safety devices working
- Log all work orders in the CMMS
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with AC/DC circuits, distribution, motors, starters, VFDs, panels, fuses, IEC components, 120V-480V lighting and grounding prefered
- Journeyman card, Electrical Maintenance Apprenticeship or other approved certification, submitted at your interview
- Work swing shift, plus overtime and weekends as needed
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for most of the shift
- OK in a loud, dusty plant with required PPE
- Pass a drug screen, Ramsey test, a one-hour physical fitness test and a background check
