Full-Time | In-Office Position
Are you an experienced Journeyman Electrician ready to get off the tools, stop traveling from jobsite to jobsite, and use your electrical knowledge in a different way?
Finish Line Staffing is looking for a bilingual Journeyman Electrician to join our Louisville office as an Electrical Candidate Interviewer. In this role, you’ll use your real-world electrical experience to interview and evaluate electricians who are being considered for commercial and industrial electrical projects across the United States.
This is not a field electrician position. The vast majority of your work will be performed by phone from our Louisville office. We’re looking for someone who knows the electrical trade, can talk comfortably with other electricians, and can quickly determine whether a candidate truly has the experience and skills they claim to have.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct phone interviews with Journeyman Electricians, apprentices, and other electrical candidates throughout the country
- Evaluate candidates' commercial and industrial electrical experience
- Ask trade-specific questions to determine each candidate's actual skill level and depth of experience
- Discuss experience with conduit bending, blueprint reading, wire pulling, terminations, switchgear, transformers, panels, controls, and other commercial/industrial electrical work
- Determine whether candidates have the appropriate experience for specific electrical projects and jobsite requirements
- Identify candidates whose actual skills may not match their resumes or stated experience
- Document interview results and provide clear recommendations to our recruiting team
- Work closely with recruiters to determine which candidates should move forward in the hiring process
- Help continually improve our electrical screening and interview process
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 5 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
- Journeyman-level electrical knowledge and experience
- Bilingual – English and Spanish
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical construction
- Ability to confidently interview and evaluate other electricians
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Comfortable spending the majority of the workday conducting telephone interviews
- Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately document candidate information
- Able to work full-time from our Louisville, Kentucky office
