Journeyman Electrician

The Licensed Electrician will be responsible for performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a high level of customer service.

The Role: Journeyman Service Electrician

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Company Vehicle and gas card provided.

**Retention Bonus offered to Current Journeyman Holders- Up to $5,000- paid out in chunks through the first year**

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Rotating weekend day

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installations: Safely install and connect wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and other electrical components as required for new construction, remodels, or repairs.
• Whole home generators: When applicable: Install, diagnose, repair Generac whole home generators including troubleshooting and wiring. Training and certifications for such work provided by Fayette.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including troubleshooting faulty systems, wiring, and appliances.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent issues, ensuring safety and compliance with building codes.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, providing clear explanations of the services performed and recommendations for system improvements or repairs.
• Compliance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
• Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain records of inspections, work completed, and materials used.

Required Qualifications:

• License: Valid Kentucky state electrician’s license
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical work, including residential and commercial systems.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and operate safely in various weather conditions.
• Driver's License: With a clean driving record
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using electrical tools and diagnostic equipment, with a solid understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience installing, repairing or maintaining whole home generator systems
• Intermediate knowledge/use of industry standard software (I.E Service Titan, or other related systems)
