Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and polished Litigation Paralegal to play a key role in supporting the firm’s growing practice. The ideal candidate brings both strong technical expertise and a high level of professionalism when interacting with business clients. The firm focuses primarily on business litigation, representing small to mid-sized companies in high-value disputes often involving claims in the millions. This is not an insurance defense or personal injury practice.
This role offers the chance to help shape processes and workflows in a dynamic, early-stage environment while working on sophisticated litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of business litigation from case inception through trial
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Coordinate and manage large-scale document productions and e-discovery
- Conduct legal research and factual investigation
- Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and trial materials
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and vendors
- Manage case files, deadlines, and court filings
- Support trial preparation and courtroom logistics as needed
Qualifications Required:
- 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and discovery practices
- Advanced proficiency with legal technology, e-discovery tools, and case management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence and ability to engage confidently with business clients
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Adaptable and open to new approaches and ways of working
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving (startup-like) environment
