What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Portfolio Management position at Finatal?
Portfolio Operations | Hybrid | 60% Travel
Finatal is partnering with a well known middle market private equity fund, currently investing out of a $1.5bn fund, focused on backing middle-market businesses, across a variety of industries.
This is not a standard portfolio ops role. It is a high-travel, high-impact position for someone who can move effortlessly between analysis and execution - a true finance “swiss army knife”.
Candidates will ideally come from investment banking, transaction services, or restructuring, but also have spent time inside a business: ideally as a CFO, VP Finance, or a credible number two in a PE-backed environment. Strong ability to build financial models, challenge assumptions, and engage directly with management teams to drive meaningful change is essential.
The role will involve working directly with portfolio company leadership and the investment team to improve processes, strengthen reporting, drive EBITDA, and accelerate value creation across the fund.
This will suit someone who is:
- commercially sharp and operationally credible
- proactive, pragmatic, and comfortable with ambiguity
- willing to get on a plane at short notice and spend significant time in the portfolio
Salary : $200,000 - $300,000
