CFO | PE-backed Industrial Services
Finatal is partnering with a lower-mid market private equity firm to recruit a CFO for a high growth industrial services business. With $150m in revenue and a mandate to scale, this is a hands-on, high-impact CFO role.
You will lead the build-out of finance - strengthening FP&A, upgrading systems and processes, and shaping a high-performing team fit for growth.
Beyond the numbers, you’ll be a visible partner to the CEO and sponsor, driving performance in a business with diverse field service functions where collaboration across the operation is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful financial analysis, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
- Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance in line with regulatory requirements
- Willing to roll up your sleeves to develop high-performing finance and accounting teams
- Collaborate with the executive team and sponsor to develop short- and long-term financial strategy aligned with the investment thesis
- Provide clear reporting to the Board, sponsor, and lenders, ensuring transparency and performance against key KPIs
- Drive post-acquisition integration and establish robust lender reporting to ensure transparency, and alignment with sponsor expectations
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the business's financial stability and to optimize capital allocation
- Monitor, manage and maintain fleet of assets (e.g. asset utilization, per client, route and site)
Requirements:
- A track record in PE backed companies, within industrial services
- Experience scaling finance functions in companies $150m revenue and beyond
- Demonstrated experience professionalizing finance functions
- Experience with M&A execution and integration
- Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with the ability to work closely across operational teams
- In northern NJ, open to relocation or regular travel
- Extensive asset, maintenance and utilization experience
