About The Role
Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Systems Engineer specializing in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) to join our Tucson, AZ team. This onsite position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge missile systems and embedded software algorithms that support national defense initiatives. As a key member of the Systems Effectors: Processing, Guidance & Control Center, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, and testing embedded tactical missile flight code, as well as performing system-level performance analyses. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of current and future missile programs, ensuring they meet stringent performance and reliability standards. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, supporting agile development processes and contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and capabilities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, along with at least five years of relevant experience. Proven expertise in GNC, Signal Processing, and Modeling/Simulation is essential. Candidates should have a solid background in missile system applications, including digital control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, Monte Carlo analysis, and GPS/INS navigation systems. Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, and C , as well as experience with object-oriented design, is required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory, and candidates must be able to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to employment, with the ability to secure a full security clearance thereafter. Leadership experience in managing or guiding engineering teams is highly desirable.
