About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientist, Mission Payload Chief Systems Engineer (Optical Systems) to join our team in Wilmington, MA, Rochester, NY, Fort Wayne, IN, or Palm Bay, FL. This role is critical to supporting our Space Superiority and Imaging Systems divisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, integration, testing, and delivery of space-based remote sensing systems, specifically focusing on optical payloads used for micro radian level line of sight pointing and focus control. The position requires a deep understanding of systems engineering processes, extensive experience in designing and testing complex systems, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 10 years of experience. Alternatively, candidates with a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience without a degree are also considered. An active Secret security clearance is required. Candidates should have at least five years of technical leadership in systems engineering and extensive experience working with space-based payload or vehicle systems. Proven expertise in technical analysis, managing specifications, and generating technical documentation is essential. Experience leading product testing, verification efforts, and requirements sell-off is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience with laser subsystems, focal plane arrays, remote sensing technologies, and electro-optical hardware development. Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS and MBSE software like CAMEO or MagicDraw is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are critical, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Lead requirements traceability and develop comprehensive test plans to verify system requirements.
