About The Role
The IT Systems Support Specialist II at MI Windows and Doors plays a vital role in maintaining the technological backbone of our manufacturing operations. This position provides frontline and Tier 2 technical support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring that all end-user devices, enterprise applications, and production-critical systems operate efficiently and reliably. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues, alongside supporting manufacturing equipment tied to IT systems. Collaboration with operations and support teams is essential to minimize downtime and optimize system performance. This is an onsite role based in Venice, FL, and prior experience supporting IT systems in manufacturing or industrial settings is a prerequisite.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess an associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree. A minimum of five years of customer-facing IT support experience is required, especially within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Candidates must be local to the Venice, FL area, as relocation support is not available for this role. Technical proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Entra ID, and Office 365 is essential. Experience supporting iOS and Android devices, along with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, is highly desirable. Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL Foundation are preferred to demonstrate technical competency.

Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 end-user support via phone, email, and in-person interactions, addressing hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and peripherals to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, minimizing downtime for manufacturing operations.
- Support and maintain PCs connected to manufacturing equipment, including performing backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Manage user accounts and access in Microsoft Entra ID, Office 365, and other enterprise systems, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and support activities accurately within the IT ticketing system, ensuring traceability and accountability.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, manage equipment lifecycle, and oversee procurement and disposal processes.
- Escalate complex issues following ITIL incident management guidelines to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in IT projects, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
