Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced AR Specialist/Billing Specialist to join our clients team on a fully remote basis. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Accounts Receivable and posses excellent communication skills, and is available to start immediately.
Role Details
- Compensation: $24.00-$26.00/Hour
- Location: Fully Remote (NC preferred)
- Contract Duration: Through December 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable processes
- Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices; resolve billing discrepancies promptly
- Process vendor invoices, verify approvals, and coordinate timely payments
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
- Prepare and send monthly statements to clients
- Leverage NetSuite and/or Bill.com for transaction processing and reporting
- Produce billing reports and detailed analysis using advanced Excel functions
- Identify and escalate billing errors or irregularities in a timely manner
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, and operations teams to resolve disputes
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to AR/AP
- Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, data analysis)
- Working knowledge of NetSuite and/or Bill.com
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage high volumes of transactions accurately and efficiently
- Experience performing account reconciliations and resolving billing discrepancies
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment
