ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE / PAYABLES SPECIALIST

ROME'S AUTO SPECIALIST INC, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in CA & TX, is looking to hire an Accounts Receivables / Payables Specialist.

As an Accounts Receivables/Payables Specialist at Rome’s Auto Specialist, you will oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions across our automotive and fleet maintenance services. Your expertise will support the company’s financial stability by maintaining precise financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring efficient revenue and expense management for both commercial fleet clients and internal operations. Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!

What the Accounts Receivable / Payables Specialist Role Looks Like:

• Process and verify all incoming accounts receivable payments, including electronic transfers, checks, and credit card transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Manage accounts payable functions by reviewing invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and processing payments efficiently.
• Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy in account balances, utilizing double-entry bookkeeping principles and performing detailed account analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors or clients to resolve billing discrepancies through effective communication.
• Conduct account reconciliations, analyze financial data for discrepancies, and prepare reports for management review.
• Provide excellent customer service through professional phone etiquette when addressing vendor or client inquiries related to payments or account status.

What our ideal candidate looks like:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivables / Payables
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, account reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms
• Ability to perform detailed analysis using analysis skills and attention to detail
• Strong math skills along with the ability to perform account analysis efficiently; familiarity with financial software tools enhances productivity.
