Summer Support Vista (Client Data Systems)

Overview
We are excited to invite motivated students and early-career professionals to join us as Summer Support Vistas in our Client Data Systems team. This paid internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data management, analytics, and project coordination within a dynamic environment. As a Summer Support Vista, you will support the development and maintenance of our data systems, helping to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for various organizational needs. Duties

• Summer Associates will help Feeding the Gulf Coast better serve its neighbors by onboarding partner agencies to use Service Insights, a client data system. Service Insights is a system designed to harness the power of data to fight hunger. Through Service Insights, data is collected electronically and securely from neighbors during the intake process at our partner agencies. By modernizing how we collect data from individuals seeking charitable food assistance, we can help drive efficiencies, encourage collaboration, and build deeper, more meaningful relationships with neighbors to ensure their voices are heard and used to improve the charitable food system and our services.

Feeding the Gulf Coast has been working on a phased approach to adopting and implementing Service Insights over the past few years. The last phase included full onboarding of the first 30 partner agencies. Now, our goal is to continue the rollout and onboarding of approximately 220 additional partner agencies. In pursuit of this goal, we are increasing the timeframe for onboarding each new group of 20-30 agencies. The Summer Associate will be a tremendous help as an additional person who can advocate for adoption, schedule appointments, and even conduct on-site training with new agencies.

Summer Associates will start by working directly with our Service Insights Coordinator and Agency Relations Manager to learn about Service Insights, the software, and our onboarding training guide. Then they will shadow the Service Insights Coordinator on a few agency partner visits before beginning any calls or visits independently. Having two additional people do this time-consuming but invaluable work will vastly increase the number of agencies onboarded during the 10-week service period.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of databases.
• Knowledge of data analysis and automation tasks.
