Leads the network engineering function to design, maintain and optimize enterprise network infrastructure in alignment with organizational standards
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage, lead, and develop a team of high-performing network engineers fostering technical expertise
- Oversee the design, configuration and maintenance of physical and virtual network infrastructure across the enterprise
- Implement and optimize routing, switching, firewall and wireless solutions in alignment with architecture standards
- Govern network architecture to ensure scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise networks
- Oversee network upgrades, patches and lifecycle management for all network devices
- Collaborate with the Network Operations Center (NOC), security and field teams to ensure network reliability and compliance
- Review and govern network architecture implementations to maintain scalability, resilience, and security
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Five (5) years of experience in network engineering or related fields
- Proven expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WANs and wireless networks
- Experience with network design, configuration and troubleshooting for high-availability systems
- Familiarity with network automation and infrastructure-as-code approaches is desirable
- Advanced technical expertise in enterprise networking to ensure robust and scalable solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills for network design and operational issues
- Leadership and mentorship skills for guiding IT engineering teams
- Some travel required
