We’re a growing small business specializing in commercial low‑voltage and fiber‑optic installations. As we expand, we’re looking for a motivated technician who can take ownership of their work and grow into a future lead role.
Job Summary
We are seeking a customer‑focused, self‑driven technician with experience in structured cabling. Fiber‑optic experience is a plus, but we can train the right candidate. This role involves installing commercial fiber‑optic internet, running Ethernet and low‑voltage cabling, and supporting various commercial network and security installations.
Responsibilities
- Install and terminate fiber‑optic cabling, including pulling, splicing, and testing
- Pull, terminate, and label Ethernet cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a)
- Run structured cabling for access points, CCTV, and A/V systems
- Maintain clean, professional, and organized installations
- Provide excellent customer service on‑site
- Work independently without direct supervision
- Assist with on‑call scheduling; typical workdays run 8am–3pm with travel for same‑day jobs
- Support company growth and step into a lead technician role over time
Requirements
- Experience in low‑voltage cabling (required)
- Fiber‑optic experience (preferred, but training available)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to wear multiple hats in a small‑business environment
- Self‑motivated, reliable, and professional
- Comfortable working independently and solving problems on the fly
- Flexible availability for on‑call work
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
