The Commercial Kitchen Incubator Project Manager/Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and successful implementation of FCCAA’s Commercial Kitchen Incubator and Small Food Business Program. This position serves as the primary point of contact for incubator members (“foodtrepreneurs”), partners, and funders, ensuring that the facility operates efficiently while delivering high-quality supportive services that foster entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic mobility for low-income individuals.
The Project Manager/Site Coordinator will oversee daily facility operations, promote and recruit members, coordinate training and supportive services through FCCAA and external partners, and ensure compliance with grant requirements. This role is critical to achieving the project’s objectives of creating a minimum of 30 new jobs, supporting local food entrepreneurs, and strengthening the regional food system in Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Economic Development, Community Development, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in program management, small business development, workforce development, or feed/hospitality operations
- Experience working directly with low-income individuals or diverse populations
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and relationship building skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, licensing, and commercial kitchen operation preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a lean, start-up environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing or working within a commercial kitchen, food incubator, or shared-use facility
- Familiarity with grant-funded programs and performance reporting requirements
- Experience coordinating training or supportive services through multiple partner organizations
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
