Color Consultant

We are currently looking for a driven individual to join our team in Los Angeles or Pasadena, California as a Color Consultant. We are offering this this position on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Color Consultant you will provide an in-home & online color consultancy service that adheres to Farrow & Ball standards, whilst meeting the customer’s needs and providing an excellent service that gives them the confidence to use Farrow & Ball products. This role will be a mix of Color Consultancy as well as hours worked in the location Showroom.

What we expect from you

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively sell the color consultancy service and F&B products.
• Manage the end-to-end customer journey to ensure appropriate pre and post-visit follow up, facilitate post consultancy orders, and early resolution of queries or questions.
• Visit clients' homes, businesses, and commercial spaces to advise on and develop appropriate color schemes (paint and wallpaper) tailored to each client's requirements.
• Lead a seamless experience for the client whilst also presenting yourself in a professional manner.
• Produce detailed specifications to include chosen colors, wallpaper, quantity, finishes, and third party/licensed products and costings
• Communicate Farrow & Ball's unique point of difference to reinforce its value proposition and demonstrate value for money.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to achieving monthly KPI targets.
• Deliver Farrow & Ball's Virtual Colour Consultancy service through an online platform, providing clients with a virtual in-home décor consultation when geographic constraints or customer preference make an in-person visit unsuitable, while maintaining the same high standards and customer experience.
• Adapt pre- and post-consultation processes to effectively support Virtual Colour Consultancy services.
• Fulfill duties of a Showroom Assistant during your Showrooms hours, with an additional focus on the promotion of the Color Consultant service & the closing of sales for the showroom.
• Train and coach new team members on interior design principles, supporting in-store sales and building confidence in promoting and closing Colour Consultancy services.
• Assist Managers in delivering local marketing initiatives and events, such as "Meet the Expert" sessions and promotional campaigns, in line with the marketing calendar.

Key Attributes:

• Strong sales acumen, with the ability to close sales, cross-sell, and upsell while maximizing sales opportunities and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Interior Design knowledge and experience – able to create inspirational spaces and stay aware of trends and influencers across all platforms (print, online, social media, etc.).
• Experience working with strong product expertise and technical knowledge – including an understanding of structures, lighting, substrates, and spatial awareness.
• Ability to match and articulate appropriate color schemes to a brief, property, and/or desired look.
• Understanding of different property types, periods, locations, and architectural styles.
• Understanding of color psychology and the ability to translate this into Farrow & Ball color schemes.
• IT proficient – including Microsoft Office (Excel essential), iPad, CRM, sales systems, and internal Farrow & Ball systems.
