Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures according to established protocols and standards.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions.
- Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images, taking into consideration patient comfort and safety.
- Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage imaging data in the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology techniques and equipment through continuous education and training.
- Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions or technical issues to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (Bachelors preferred). Additional state requirements as applicable.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.
- State licensed
- ARRT (R) certification (CT preferred)
- BLS
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required.
