About the Role
- Assist the dentist chairside during exams, restorative procedures, extractions, and other treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials in advance of each patient appointment
- Perform EFDA procedures as permitted by state law and delegated by the supervising dentist, including but not limited to: placing and finishing restorations, taking impressions and leading the process to seat crowns
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the practice management system
- Provide post-operative instructions and follow up with patients as directed
Patient Experience
- Set the tone throughout all patient interactions - warm, calm, and professional
- Guide patients through each step so they feel informed and at ease
- Recognize and support anxious patients with empathy and confidence
- Be a steady, reassuring presence throughout every visit

Clinical Operations & Efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked operatory at all times
- Communicate proactively with the tream to flag delays, patient concerns, or schedule changes
- Support the overall flow of the practice by staying flexible and stepping in where needed
- Ensure sterilization and infection control protocols are followed without exception
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and front office staff to deliver a seamless experience for every patient
- Communicate clearly and in real time — clinical notes, schedule updates, patient flags
- Bring a positive, team-first attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever the team needs you
- Participate in morning huddles, team meetings, and practice improvement conversations
- Contribute to a culture of learning, consistency, and high standards
What You Bring
- Active Expanded Function Dental Assistant certificate and CPR/BLS certification
- 1 years of EFDA experience in a clinical dental setting preferred
- Genuine warmth and a natural ability to make patients feel comfortable and cared for
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up as a full contributor every day
- Clear communicator with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
