Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Help with meals, feeding as needed, and ensure proper hydration
- Measure and record vital signs; promptly report any changes in condition to licensed nursing staff
- Document care provided accurately and timely
- Perform safe transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper techniques
- Strictly adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies
- Deliver genuine emotional support, companionship, and a positive presence
- Collaborate closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary team for coordinated care
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred—we welcome new CNAs and those passionate about growing in the field!
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, resident-focused setting
- Reliable attendance and deep commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care
