This position requires a detail-oriented individual who acts as the central point of contact for attendance inquiries and procedures, working closely with students, families, and school personnel to maintain precise records and support an organized and secure educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the Nurse's Office and main office
- Manage student attendance, including recording daily attendance, late sign-ins, early pick-ups, and verifying absences with parents/guardians
- Enter absences for automated robocalls and identify attendance concerns (e.g., excessive tardiness or absences) for administrative follow-up
- Track and document student appointments and movements throughout the school day
- Assist with student arrival and dismissal to ensure safety and efficiency
- Manage visitor check-in using the Raptor System and alert appropriate staff of any concerns
- Greet and assist students, including logging visits to the Health Office and calling students as needed
- Provide basic first aid (e.g., bandages, ice packs) and refer all medical concerns to the nurse
- Assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and record results as directed
- Process attendance data and prepare reports for administrators and counselors
- Set up and maintain attendance records at the start of the school year
- Provide general office support, including answering phones, redirecting calls, and handling paperwork (e.g., scanning into SchoolTool Medical Module)
- Provide lunch coverage and cover the Nurse's Office during staff absences or emergencies
- Perform other related duties as assigned by administrators or health office staff
