Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest areas, service corridors, and back-of-house spaces. Responsibilities
- Perform floor cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain pristine conditions across all guest and service areas.
- Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, and other public spaces regularly.
- Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks such as replenishing supplies and organizing storage areas.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety during incidents or hazardous situations.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests related to cleanliness or facilities maintenance.
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or hotel environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is advantageous.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management or hospitality services will be highly valued.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures, safety protocols, and handling chemical agents safely is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably over extended periods.
- Demonstrated commitment to sanitation standards, including floor care, vacuuming, and general cleaning practices.
