Description

The Granulator Utilizes Granulators to Produce Useable Compound from Generated Scrap

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

• Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other FEC employees.
• Mathematical Skills - Ability to perform basic algebra in basic units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply commonsense and the understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Moves scrap material form storage area to granulator with forklift.
• Feeds plastic scrap into automatic granulator machine, lifting by hand.
• Maintains integrity of compounds by keeping separate non-compatible scrap.
• Cleans out granulator between compounds using lockout/tag out procedures.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as cleaning or oiling.
• Moves granulated compound to storage area.
• Keeps compounds in storage area consolidated and neat.
