We’re Connecticut’s leader in mission-critical electrical services, and we’re looking for a motivated professional to join us in estimating new electrical installation projects. If you enjoy analyzing projects, strategizing bids, and making an impact on large-scale commercial work—including healthcare and mission-critical facilities—this could be the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead our estimating efforts for commercial electrical projects
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and bid proposals for mid-size to large projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and documentation to create comprehensive estimates
- Work with subcontractors and vendors to gather and evaluate pricing
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Leadership on bid strategies and project approaches
- Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings
- Keep our estimating databases and historical cost data up to date
- Support smooth handoffs from estimating to operations
Who You Are:
- You have 7 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial construction
- You have strong experience with large-scale and/or mission-critical projects (healthcare experience is a big plus)
- You’re proficient in estimating software (e.g., ConEst or similar platforms)
- You understand electrical systems, materials, labor, and construction methods
- You can read and interpret complex drawings and specifications
- You’re highly organized, analytical, and communicate effectively
- You can handle multiple bids and deadlines with ease
- Electrical License is a plus
