Position: Senior Electrical Estimator
We, Connecticut’s leader in mission-critical electrical services, are looking for a motivated professional to join our team, focusing on estimating new electrical installation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead estimating efforts for commercial electrical projects, including healthcare and mission-critical facilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and bid proposals for projects ranging from mid-size to large-scale
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Leadership on bid strategy and project approach
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies
- Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost data
- Support handoff meetings to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to operations
Qualifications:
- 7 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial construction
- Strong experience with large-scale and/or mission-critical projects (healthcare experience highly preferred)
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ConEst or similar platforms)
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, materials, labor, and construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Electrical License is a plus
