What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weld Equipment Operator position at Extension, Inc?
Position Summary
The Weld Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating resistance welding and assembly equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet production rates and print specifications. This role also supports packaging, basic material handling, and equipment maintenance activities within the department. In addition, the operator provides training and guidance to new team members as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate resistance welders and Pemserter equipment, as well as perform manual assembly tasks safely and efficiently to meet standard production rates
- Produce parts accurately in accordance with engineering prints and quality specifications
- Follow established quality procedures and properly use metrology and inspection equipment to ensure product compliance
- Assist with machine setup and changeovers as required
- Perform basic material handling tasks using carts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials and tooling within the department
- Perform packaging duties as required to prepare finished products for shipment
- Other duties as assigned by management
Shift: 2nd shift (3:30pm-1:30am)
Pay: $23 plus shift differential
Salary : $20 - $24
