Buyer / Purchasing Specialist
Location: Greater Oshkosh, WI Area
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Compensation: Target range roughly $60,000-$65,000

Overview
Our client is seeking a Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to support procurement and supply chain operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, supporting inventory and purchasing activities, and helping improve procurement processes across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities across raw materials, MRO items, office supplies, and operational purchasing needs
- Build and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain ERP/MRP system data accuracy and purchasing records
- Support inventory management and help ensure proper stock levels are maintained
- Analyze purchasing and supply chain data to support forecasting and operational planning
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, production, and leadership teams
- Assist with RFQs, sourcing projects, and cost reduction initiatives
- Help improve procurement processes and contribute to operational efficiency efforts
Qualifications
- 2 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience within manufacturing
- ERP/MRP system experience required; Sage experience preferred
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills
- Analytical mindset with strong Excel and data management capabilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience within industrial manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, or process manufacturing environments is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
- CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus but not required
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
