CNC Lathe/Mill Set‑Up Specialist — Precision Components
Where: Waukesha, WI 53189
Schedule: Full-Time | Mon–Thu 6:00am–3:00pm | Fri 6:00am–12:00pm
Pay: $32–$35/hour (based on experience)

- Can you read complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T—and turn them into action?
- Are you comfortable selecting tooling, dialing in offsets, and locking down workholding?
- Do you insist on first‑piece verification and rigorous in‑process checks?
- Will you tune feeds/speeds, monitor tool wear, and document every critical detail?
- Set up and operate CNC equipment to hit tight tolerances and repeatable quality.
- Adjust controls and offsets to optimize throughput without sacrificing accuracy.
- Perform inspections with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Troubleshoot dimensional issues and machining anomalies; correct at the source.
- Maintain production/inspection records and uphold quality procedures and continuous improvement.
- Handle routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and a safe, orderly workspace.
- 2 years of CNC machining and set‑up (mills, lathes, or both).
- Deep grasp of machining principles, tooling choices, speeds/feeds, and materials.
- Fluency with blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation.
- Hands‑on skill with precision instruments: micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.
- G&M‑code editing/programming experience is a plus.
- Able to lift 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Detail‑driven with strong problem‑solving instincts.
- Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or Mazak controls.
- Knowledge of lean/5S.
- Basic CNC programming or CAM exposure.
- Background in multi‑axis or high‑precision machining.
