Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable & Background Screening Specialist. This dual-role position manages client billing and collections while conducting accurate and compliant background checks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, maintain confidentiality, and ensure all work meets high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Duties
• Manage client billing, invoicing, and collections.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and oversee the monthly invoicing process.
• Process daily deposits and post client payments.
• Serve as the primary contact for collection agencies.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding invoices and payments.
• Assist with accounts payable tasks as needed.
• Complete other accounting projects as assigned by management.
Administrative & Research Duties
• Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and legal standards (including FCRA and other state/federal regulations).
• Conduct research in government public record repositories and prepare compliant reports.
• Compile and deliver reports accurately and within deadlines.
• Address and resolve customer service inquiries promptly.
• Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist walk-in customers.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
• Perform employment verifications and assist with other administrative projects as needed.
Qualifications & Competencies
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Previous accounts receivable or billing experience preferred.
• Prior experience in research, investigations, or administrative support is a plus.
