Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Engineering department supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title:Quality Assurance Engineer

Location:Skaneateles, NY. HYBRID (onsite 3 days a week). Client is also open to fully remote candidates.

Pay Range:$28.75

What's the Job?

• Investigate, review, and complete all Quality Engineering complaint issue analysis tasks utilizing various quality system inputs.
• Review individual complaints and associated service data to determine risk levels and investigate problem and cause codes.
• Analyze data from quality inputs such as Field Corrective Action (FCA), Complaints, FDA Medical Device Reports (MDR), to identify trends and systemic issues.
• Develop and communicate expectations for quality performance, continuous improvement, and process controls for marketed products.
• Support CAPA and maintenance activities for existing product lines, leading or conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  
  
  

What's Needed?

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in the medical device industry, with knowledge of 21CFR820 preferred.
• Experience with investigational research and data analysis, including familiarity with statistical software packages (Minitab a plus).
• Understanding of FDA cGMP, ANSI/ISO/ASQC requirements, and technical drawings or blueprints.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause investigations and develop technical solutions.
