What's the Job?
- Coordinate and execute technical service requests involving materials testing and characterization.
- Support polymer extrusion processes for pellets, films, and tubing, including setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze data, conduct root-cause investigations, and provide technical recommendations to improve processes.
- Prepare test protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and generate detailed technical reports.
- Follow lab safety procedures and operate advanced characterization tools such as DSC, TGA, DMA, SEM, FTIR, GC-MS, HPLC, and tensile testers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field with 2 years of professional experience, or PhD with 0-2 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with a wide range of materials characterization equipment and techniques.
- Knowledge of polymer science and processing, with extrusion experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, technical writing ability, and capacity to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Experience in medical device or regulated industries is highly desirable.
