- Remote-Control/Drone Operation Expertise – Experience operating drones or UAS systems, ideally with FAA 14 CFR Part 107 certification.
- Technical Troubleshooting & Maintenance Skills – Ability to conduct lightweight maintenance, troubleshoot technical systems, and support operational readiness.
- Leadership & Team Coordination – Experience leading small teams in dynamic, safety-critical environments with strong communication skills.
- Operate and support unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for research, development, and testing missions.
- Conduct mission planning, pre-launch preparations, and lightweight maintenance activities.
- Assist with operational readiness and logistics planning.
- Lead small teams in operational environments.
- Work variable shifts, including graveyard hours as required.
- Travel extensively (up to 75% of the year) to offsite work locations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of operations.
- Lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for 8–10 hours (with breaks), and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach as needed.
- Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Aeronautical knowledge and familiarity with aviation systems
- Knowledge of Jira or similar project tracking tools
- Terminal knowledge relevant to UAS operations
- Experience leading small teams in operational environments
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and drug test as part of background check
- FAA 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- 2 years of remote-control drone or UAS pilot experience with strong coordination and execution skills
- Experience in the commercial UAS industry
- Aviation safety experience (e.g., Safety Officer or similar role)
- Current U.S. fixed-wing or rotorcraft pilot certificate
- Excellent business communication, documentation, and reporting skills
