Chemist II

Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, is seeking a Chemist II to join their team. As a Chemist II, you will be part of the Quality Control Department supporting laboratory operations and ensuring product quality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $26- $29/hr on w2

What's the Job?

• Support raw material, in-process material, and finished product lot release through analytical testing.
• Perform routine analysis using approved test methods in a timely manner.
• Maintain current status on all training requirements and support training activities for other laboratory personnel.
• Understand and follow GMP requirements related to laboratory operations, testing, and documentation.
• Recognize OOS, OOT, and exception events, and initiate investigations under supervision.
  
  
  

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of relevant laboratory experience, with solid knowledge of analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, GC/MS, TLC, IR, UV/Vis, NMR, and AA.
• Familiarity with GMP and GLP standards, and strong documentation skills.
• Ability to perform method development, validation, verification, and transfer following established protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a team environment.
