Job Title: Observability Engineer
Location: Denver, Colorado
Pay Range: $65/hour, based on experience
What's the Job?
- Partner with engineering teams to implement standardized observability patterns aligned to the company's framework
- Advise and assist teams in adopting OpenTelemetry-based instrumentation for metrics, logs, and traces
- Design and maintain application integrations in observability systems such as Prometheus, VictoriaLogs, Jaeger, and Grafana
- Contribute to framework development by creating and improving dashboard templates, libraries, and documentation
- Educate and enable engineers through workshops, pairing sessions, and reference implementations
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of experience with software development, proficient in multiple programming languages
- 3-4 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure development/deployment, especially with Kubernetes and cloud platforms
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and tracing systems
