We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Installer to join our team. The HVAC Service Installer is responsible for installing, replacing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and commercial settings. About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Installer to join our team. The HVAC Service Installer is responsible for installing, replacing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and commercial settings. This role ensures all installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes, while delivering high-quality service to clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including split systems, package units, RTUs, furnaces, condensers, and air handlers.
- Replace existing HVAC equipment and perform system upgrades
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals
- Perform system start-up, testing, and commissioning to ensure proper operation
- Connect refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and controls
- Charge systems with refrigerant and check for leaks
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations
- Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain accurate installation records, job reports, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition
- 2–5 years of HVAC installation experience (service/install environment)
- EPA 608 Certification (required for refrigerant handling)
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- NATE Certification or equivalent industry credential
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, VAV systems, controls)
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- High school diploma or GED (technical/trade school preferred)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Field-based role (residential, commercial, job sites)
