About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial settings such as office buildings, retail spaces, and other construction projects. You should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Core Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in commercial environments
- Read and interpret prints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs efficiently
- Install electrical panels, lighting systems, and control systems
- Test electrical systems using appropriate tools to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and other trades on job sites
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Valid electrician license or certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial electrical work
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards
- Ability to read prints and technical diagrams
- Proficient with electrical tools and testing equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Experience with energy-efficient systems or smart building technology (preferred)
- OSHA certification or safety training (preferred)
- Experience leading crews or supervising projects (preferred)
- Experience with energy-efficient systems, smart building technology, or building automation systems (BAS)
- OSHA certification or formal safety training
- Experience leading crews, mentoring apprentices, or supervising projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with multiple trades
- Familiarity with project scheduling and job site documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds or more with assistance
- Comfort working at heights, including on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
- Manual dexterity to handle tools, wiring, and small components with precision
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity
