ROLE SUMMARY: The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key leadership role in ensuring all guest rooms and public spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation. This position supports the Director of Housekeeping in supervising daily operations, inspecting rooms, and upholding Hotel Drover’s legendary hospitality and Autograph Collection standards. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

• Supervise, train, and support room attendants and housepersons to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and adherence to brand standards. 

• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to verify readiness and compliance with established quality standards.  

• Prepare and distribute daily room assignment boards, prioritizing workload based on occupancy and labor efficiency.  

• Ensure all guest corridors, service areas, and storage closets are clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.  

• Communicate maintenance issues and deficiencies promptly to the Engineering department and track resolutions.  

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, lost and found items, and room status changes.  

• Verify inventory levels and par stock for cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities. 

• Support guest satisfaction by addressing requests or service recovery needs promptly and professionally. 

• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leadership. 

• All other duties as assigned.  

ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and move for extended periods during the workday. 

• Must be able to lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs without assistance. 

• Must be able to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts over sloping or uneven surfaces. 

• Comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to cleaning agents and noise. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• This position supervises Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Public Area Attendants. 

• Responsible for daily task assignments, performance guidance, training, and compliance with cleanliness and safety standards. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or related hospitality role. 

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. 

• Flexible schedule — must be available to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts. 

• Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Previous hotel experience, ideally within an Autograph Collection or luxury property. 

• Experience using property management systems (e.g., Opera) and housekeeping software 

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
