Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Staffing Coordinator to manage nursing schedules and ensure proper staffing coverage in our fast-paced facility. This role works closely with the Director of Nursing and HR to support daily operations and quality resident care.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage monthly nursing schedules
- Monitor attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism
- Adjust staffing based on census to reduce overtime and agency use
- Coordinate modified duty schedules
- Assist staff with scheduling requests
- Prepare payroll for nursing department
- Monitor licenses and certifications for compliance
- Support onboarding (ID badges, timecards, schedules)
- Provide backup to Unit Secretary as needed
- Minimum 1 year experience in staffing within a nursing or long-term care setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with scheduling systems and payroll
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
