Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreation programs.
- Lead and supervise residents in activities such as games, crafts, exercise, and social events.
- Encourage resident and family participation in activity planning.
- Conduct resident interviews to personalize programs to individual interests and abilities.
- Observe, document, and report resident participation, mood, and behavior.
- Accompany and assist residents during outings, field trips, and walks.
- Transport residents within the facility to and from activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
- Friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented personality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional, empathetic, and respectful when working with residents, families, and staff.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in all situations.
- Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies and personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
- Attends and participates in continuing educational programs.
