About The Role
Chateau Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Food Services Director to oversee our Dietary/Food Services Department in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Dietary/Food Services operations in a skilled nursing facility.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff.
- Coordinate dietary services with Nursing, Administration, Activities, Social Services, and Infection Control.
- Manage menus, therapeutic diets, diet changes, resident preferences, and special diets.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, infection control, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, meal service, inventory, supplies, and food costs.
- Maintain dietary records, menus, recipes, reports, and required documentation.
- Address resident and family dietary concerns and complaints.
- Participate in facility surveys, inspections, audits, QAPI/QAA activities, and plans of correction.
- Assist with resident discharge planning and dietary needs.
- Maintain required SDS/MSDS documentation and departmental safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality, resident-centered nutritional services.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in Food Services/Dietary Services in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, nursing home, or healthcare setting.
- Experience with long-term care dietary operations preferred.
- Knowledge of diet therapy, therapeutic diets, food safety, sanitation, cost control, and food management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Empeon and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
