Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director and Associate Director of Nursing to ensure smooth daily operations and regulatory compliance
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to maintain high-quality resident care
- Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules to ensure safe and effective coverage
- Conduct routine rounds, provide coaching and feedback, and communicate observations to leadership
- Assist with state surveys and inspections
- Support the development and implementation of individualized care and discharge plans
- Address staff concerns, complaints, and grievances professionally and promptly
- Welcome and support residents and families during the admission process
- Accompany physicians on rounds and ensure accurate medication and treatment administration
- Provide direct nursing care and assist with resident assessments as needed
- Participate in staff evaluations and support the professional development of LPNs and CNAs
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Active, unrestricted Florida LPN or RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of direct care experience in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric nursing
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Current CPR certification
