Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient treatment plans
- Conduct therapeutic activities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT
- Instruct patients and families on treatment plans and proper use of therapeutic equipment
- Support patients in improving cognitive, physical, and emotional functioning
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Modify treatment plans in collaboration with the Occupational Therapist as needed
- Educate patients and families on daily tasks and rehabilitation activities
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- NBCOT certification
- Current state licensure/certification as required
- Nursing home or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse patient needs and environments
- Proficiency with occupational therapy tools and equipment
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Familiarity with SigmaCare and Net Health preferred
