Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Optical Lab Technician to join our eyeglass production team. This role involves manufacturing, finishing, and inspecting prescription eyewear with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and capable of maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced lab environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and fabricate prescription lenses according to work orders
- Operate optical lab equipment including generator, blocker, edger, cylinder polishers, and lensometer
- Insert lenses into frames and ensure proper fit and alignment
- Verify prescription accuracy and perform quality control checks
- Maintain organization of jobs, trays, and workflow throughout the lab
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment or production issues as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous optical lab or optician experience preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple jobs simultaneously
- Dependable with strong work ethic and punctuality
- Willingness to learn and be trained on optical systems and processes

Compensation & Benefits:
- Paid holidays after 90-day evaluation period
Schedule:
- Full-time hours (exact schedule to be discussed during interview)

· Starting pay: $18-20/hour (based on mechanical experience)
· Paid holidays after 90-day introductory period
