Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optical Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. While this position would be perfect for a skilled laboratory technician, it would also be a great opportunity for someone with minimal optical experience. Our lab features state of the art equipment that practically does the job from start to finish.
Duties
- Operate and maintain optical finishing equipment to edge lenses.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to equipment or production processes.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including inventory management and equipment maintenance logs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an optical laboratory setting is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and procedures related to optical finishing preferred, but not required.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes in a laboratory environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with colleagues and management.
