Senior Mission Assurance Manager

An advanced aerospace technology company developing next-generation satellite and airborne systems is seeking a Senior Mission Assurance Manager to lead mission assurance activities across high-visibility DoD programs.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance, reliability, and mission success across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain functions. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in defense or space programs and thrives in fast-moving, technically rigorous environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Mission Assurance function supporting DoD customers and internal programs
• Establish and execute mission assurance plans aligned with AS9100, customer, and industry standards
• Serve as primary interface for internal and external audits, including DoD and government customers
• Lead customer design reviews, qualification reviews, configuration audits, and hardware acceptance activities
• Oversee FMECA, RCCA investigations, and major nonconformance resolution
• Chair MRB and FRB activities, including customer-facing presentations
• Partner with Supply Chain to ensure supplier compliance and drive overall supplier quality strategy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Business Development
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing mission assurance team
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in Mission Assurance, Quality, or Reliability Engineering within aerospace or defense
• Direct experience supporting complex DoD programs
• 5 years of leadership experience managing technical teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• Expert-level knowledge of AS9100 and DoD standards
