Senior Cloud Systems Engineer - Onsite | Denver, CO - Space Operations & Mission Software
A pioneering aerospace company developing next-generation lunar mobility and robotic systems is seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to support mission-critical ground software infrastructure powering future space exploration programs.
This role will focus on managing highly available cloud and Kubernetes environments for a cutting-edge command and control platform supporting lunar vehicle operations and mission control activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage production releases and deployment pipelines using GitOps methodologies
- Maintain highly available Kubernetes infrastructure and cloud environments
- Drive operational excellence through monitoring, observability, metrics, and uptime management
- Develop and maintain Helm charts for complex infrastructure deployments
- Implement progressive deployment strategies including canary and blue-green deployments
- Manage Kubernetes networking, DNS, load balancing, storage, and secrets management
- Support AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with software and infrastructure teams to improve reliability and operational standards
Key Requirements
- 5 years’ experience within DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering
- AWS experience including EKS, IAM, VPC networking, and Load Balancers
- Strong Kubernetes administration experience within production environments
- Experience writing and managing Helm charts for large-scale applications
- Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows and tools such as Flux CD
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and observability practices
- Experience supporting high-availability systems with 99.99% uptime requirements
- Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and operational support capabilities
- SRE methodologies including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
